OVCS reports wage protests in 12 states of the country

The Venezuelan Observatory of Social Conflict (OVCS) reported at least 16 protests during this Monday, April 10, and Tuesday, April 11, in 12 states of the country, where protesters demand improvements in working conditions, social security, education, freedom of expression, and justice. .

The institution revealed that the states where the protests were registered are Aragua, Barinas, Bolívar, Capital District, Falcón, Guárico, Lara, Miranda, Monagas, Trujillo, Sucre, Yaracuy.

Since last January, the union of teachers and public workers began a day of demonstrations demanding improvements in salary material. These protests were joined by workers from different unions who demand that the Executive meet the needs of their sectors.

Likewise, retirees and pensioners attended the call for a demonstration because what they receive from the State is not enough to cover their basic needs, much less take care of their health.
