Ovational applause New Year’s magazine – ORTS

For four evenings, the Theater De Bussel audience enjoyed the Oosterhout New Year’s Revue. There was always a standing ovation at the end.

The players were housed in the Koekoeksnest apartment complex and the story takes place during the corona period. A still very young mayor Mark Buijs (Stijn van Uitert) keeps appearing in the wings to discuss his columns and a catchy slogan for Oosterhout with his secretary. Couriers of parcels and meals will also arrive. Residents sometimes find it difficult to talk to each other via Zoom.

One of the residents (Maurice Gerrits) dreams of becoming the prince of the carnival. He is dressed as a jester and just before the break, when he transforms into a prince and starts a beautiful carnival song, a large Kaaiendonk chapel enters the scene to support the party.

Even after the break, beautiful harmony vocals and solo pieces alternate. Finally, a big round of applause for this fantastic cast, and the excellent orchestra shouldn’t go unnoticed.
