Nothing new at the top. The leading teams of the Oberliga Nord won all of their games, so nothing changed in terms of placements. Somewhat surprising the current good form of the Hanover Indians, who got their fourth three in a row, celebrated their first victory in Herne since December 2019 (5: 3) and with this stability also the local derby against the Scorpions on Friday (7. January, 8 p.m.) do not have to fear.
Herne, on the other hand, has to come up with something, because currently there are already six points behind the Crocodiles, and even nine points behind the Indians. Eighth place will also be exciting. After beating Krefeld, Erfurt reduced the gap to Herford to just one point.

A clear and clear victory for the Dutch favorite. The outstanding player on the ice was the 24-year-old Max Hermens, who was shot four times. Herner EV Miners – Hannover Indians 1:4 (1:1, 0:1, 0:2)
A first-class defensive performance as well as a perfect tactical implementation and an excellent keeper Jan Dalgic. With these three trump cards, the Indians struck back ice cold after two previous defeats this season against Herne. The HEV will be particularly annoyed by the shot ratio, because here they were clearly ahead with 38:24. But apart from the quick guidance by Tomi Wilenius, the Hanoverian cover could no longer be outwitted. Keeper Jan Dalgic in particular shone with a perfect 97.4 percent catch rate, while his counterpart Björn Linda only got a moderate 83.3 percent. It is interesting that the winning row with the Indians was the first, while with Herne the third row with a total of minus 10 contributed the lion’s share of the defeat.

Hannover Scorpions – Rostock Piranhas 5:2 (3:1, 0:1, 2:0)
A deserved success of the Scorpions, who struggled astonishingly and almost failed again. With a shot ratio of 50:22 actually not possible and yet it seemed as if the Rostockers only needed a little more luck to take points. The Scorpions took off like a rocket. After less than five minutes they led 3-0 and some of the 500 fans present were certainly dreaming of a festival similar to the one against Halle at the beginning of the season. But then the guests came back and when Lukas Koziol, who was recently in very good shape, reduced the score to 2: 3, fear reigned in the stadium. The score was 3: 2 for a full 35 minutes and only when the REC had to throw everything forward did two counterattacks from the home side work to secure the three points. The leaders had no problems with the last, but only after the half of the season. Before that, Hamm had curled up well and was able to fend off the attacking efforts of the Bulls. Only the first attack brought the Halle lead after 18 seconds. Then it was over until the 32nd minute of the game. Then Vihavainen, Valasek and Niemelä took out the hammer and scored at regular intervals. Michel Limböck was successful in the 52nd minute for the combative polar bears who finally surrendered fairly to their fate.

Black Dragons Erfurt – Krefelder EV U23 5:1 (1:0, 3:1, 1:0)
The well-deserved success of the Thuringians, who owed their victory to the “player of the day” alone. Louis Anders scored four times and set a personal record and he improved by 18 places to 103rd place and 64th and 39th place among the scorers. The man from the row pulled his teammates along and they even gave six Assists, so that the series can be celebrated as a match winner. The Krefeld team played fairly, were able to keep up, but thanks to Anders they were never about to win points.
