Outstanding fire house Kriekenhof Middelburg – HVZeeland

By: Roland de Jong

MIDDELBURG – A fire broke out in a house at the Kriekenhof in Middelburg last night. The residents of the house were unharmed.

The fire was noticed from the Vreedenburg shortly before 1.45 am, but the fire eventually turned out to be raging at the Kriekenhof. Shortly after the report, it was already scaled up to medium fire. Three tanker sprayers and a ladder truck arrived on the spot, but the fire brigade quickly had the fire under control and could already give the ‘fire master’ signal around 02:00 am.

The residents of the house where the fire broke out and the residents of the adjacent building were able to get to safety in time. No one was injured. The fire extinguishing team of the Middelburg post Torenweg has extinguished the fire. The other fire crews were soon able to return to the barracks.

After the house had been ventilated, it could be handed over to the residents again. The Salvage Foundation came on site to help them deal with the damage.
