Michal Škápa, coincidentally an entrepreneur in the field of gastronomy from the village of Popovice near Benešova, called the editorial phone last week, quite upset.
He and his family planned a one-day trip to Český Krumlov. According to their own words, they found a pleasant pub. When he noticed the prices, he allegedly exploded with rage.
“They would drive me to the other side of the country if I even allowed myself to drown myself for one hundred crowns. I have been working in the field for seventeen years. Here they calmly told me 199 crowns. And that wasn’t all at all,” stated Michal Škápa.

The restaurant Leylaria, which is also a hotel in the heart of Český Krumlov, offers grilled vegetables for 299 crowns and regular fries for 259 crowns. Soup costs 159 crowns and grilled cheese with white mold costs 349 crowns.

“I have never come across similar prices in Prague, what they have allowed themselves to do here is unbearable,” added an obviously upset guest of the aforementioned establishment.

Looking at the menus of businesses across the country, we found drowned people many times.
Klamovka restaurant in Prague has it for 69 crowns (filled with hot pepper, cucumber and onion), U Krále Jiřího restaurant in Poděbrady for 50 crowns, Hrusická hospoda, famous for the drawings of Josef Lada, a native of the area, offers an appetizer for 40 crowns.
Malostranská beseda in the center of Prague offers two pieces for 129 crowns, the restaurant U Fišmistrů in Modřan had it for 48 crowns, the pub Na Knoflík in Moravany for 79 crowns and we found it in Waldesca in Prague 10 for 95 crowns.
