A father of a 3-year-old child from Burgas insists on an inspection by an ambulance team for refusing to examine his son. The boy has an allergic attack at night and stops breathing, but the ambulance slows down for 20 minutes.
“At 03:35 my child stopped breathing – a nightmare for every parent. In the quickest way, we did everything we could think of first. We gave anti-allergy, opened the windows, started inhalation. It took us four minutes. At 03:39 I called 112. We live 2 km. from the hospital, it’s four minutes. The child began to turn blue, it was very scary. He was trying to breathe, he was coughing all the time, “father Yordan Terziev told bTV.
He added that five minutes later he called 122. From there he was told that the signal was received by the Emergency Center at 03:41, but an ambulance did not come.
“So every five minutes, I called four times. Ambulance said they were on the scene at 3:55 p.m. I can show you that at 03:59 I called 112 while I was on the street “, the father explained, adding that after the arrival of the team the child was not examined.
“The ambulance came, took down the window. There were three people in it and they told me, “Where is the child? Quick “and I told them the child is upstairs, he needs an examination. They told me, “We can’t. We don’t have a pediatrician in this ambulance. We can only transport him to the Emergency Center. At 04:04 I called 112 to tell them that there was no doctor to examine my child, “he added.
“Our addresses arrive 10-15 minutes late. This is because of the electronic system of 112. Once the address arrives, you leave immediately. They have created a new system, which immediately includes the address received from our headquarters “, explained to bTV the chairman of the structure in the Emergency Aid in Burgas and ambulance driver Klimentin Milchev.
He added that the Emergency Aid in Burgas has five teams. From January 1 until today, these are 25,500 addresses.
