Outrage over Alleged Corruption in DKI Social Assistance, Commission B DPRD Will Summon Pasar Jaya

Ismail said that later the discussion regarding the COVID-19 social assistance would become one of the materials discussed at the working meeting with BUMD partners. It is planned that the work meeting will be held in February 2023.

In this case, Commission B will ask for an explanation from the Main Director of Pasar Jaya Tri Prasetyo regarding this matter.

Apart from Pasar Jaya, his party will summon other BUMD companies that distribute social assistance for COVID-19, namely Food Station. “With Pasar Jaya and the Food Station, there’s no need for (coordination). That’s enough. Unless we really need an explanation or confirmation from the Social Service, maybe we’ll coordinate with Commission E,” he explained.

As is well known, social media activist, Rudi Valinka, via his Twitter account, @kurawa, reported the alleged hoarding of rice for social assistance for COVID-19. Rudi said the rice was stored in a rented warehouse located in the Pulogadung area.

Rudi said, in 2020, the DKI Jakarta Social Service appointed three companies to distribute basic food packages, namely Perumda Pasar Jaya, PT Food Station, and PT Trimedia Imaji Rekso Abadi. Meanwhile, Perumda Pasar Jaya’s contract value for the distribution of 11 stages is IDR 2.85 trillion.

Head of DKI Jakarta Social Service, Premi Lasari, has opened his voice regarding the uproar over allegations of corruption in the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government’s social assistance program (bansos) for handling COVID-19 in 2020. He said the contract with Pasar Jaya had ended at the end of 2020.

“The point is, indeed, we have had a contract with Perumda Pasar Jaya. The contract ends on December 31, 2020. We’ll just have to wait and see who it is,” Premi told reporters at Agro Education Tourism Ragunan, South Jakarta, Friday (13/1 /2023).

He also said that his party had carried out inspections in 2021 and 2022 regarding the distribution of social assistance. The accountability report has also been completed and examined in 2021.

“There have been inspections in 2021, 2022. Done. I have also explained this at the KPK. (Supervision of the distribution of social assistance) yes, there is the KPK, BPK, Inspectorate, accountability report (LKPJ) right 2021, yes,” he said.

In addition, Premi emphasized that he was ready if asked for further information if needed by the authorities.
