This woman ordered two bottles of mineral water at one of the well-known luxury and star hotels in Bandung. He was shocked after seeing the bill.
Almost every five-star hotel has cafes, lounges and restaurants for hotel guests and visitors. Of course, the price of food and drinks offered in restaurants in luxury hotels is more expensive than eating in ordinary restaurants or cafes.
This is the experience experienced by TikTok user @funny.mey (27/01). In a video lasting more than three minutes, the woman who is familiarly called Mey tells of her surprise after ordering two bottles of mineral water at the Hilton Bandung.
“Yesterday, why didn’t I order hot chocolate or orange juice, why did I have to order two bottles of AQUA (mineral water), the price was Rp. 180,000. Mami regrets it, guys, why did I have to order AQUA, which really doesn’t taste like a drink but the price is mehong (expensive) “Really guys,” said Mey while laughing in the video.

In the video, Mey shows her bill after enjoying drinks at the Hilton Bandung. He ordered one cup of Hot Chocolate (Rp. 55,000), one Gelato Shakes (Rp. 65,000), two bottles of AQUA Natural (Rp. 180,000), one Orange Juice (Rp. 60,000) and one Honeydew Juice (Rp. 60,000).
In total, with taxes and service fees, Mey had to spend around IDR 508,200 at the Hilton Bandung.
Mey herself doesn’t mind the price of other drinks, but she was really shocked by the price of mineral water, a bottle of which was priced at IDR 90,000.
“I laughed all the way home, why was the bill so expensive? It turned out to be because of AQUA, because I ordered it because I was thirsty. Even though it tasted just like normal AQUA, I regretted it,” continued Mey.

This video immediately received more than 2,700 comments on TikTok. Many are surprised by the price of mineral water.
“The price is double, AQUA Natural in supermarkets seems to be IDR 25,000. Entering the hotel is IDR 90,000,” commented @em**.
“As far as I know, mineral water is made expensive so that people order other drinks, for example juice whose raw materials spoil quickly. As for plain water, it takes a long time to stale,” wrote @har**.
“This mineral water is very rare. It’s natural that it’s expensive, it’s said that the spring water only exists on the planet Saturn, you have to get it on the first of Suro,” joked @muh**.

AQUA Natural itself is part of AQUA Water Reflections which is packaged more premiumly. This type of AQUA is usually marketed in luxury cafes, luxury hotels, and even lounges, so the price is more expensive than the selling price in supermarkets.
Previously, tourists from Australia also vented on social media, after being shocked to see the bill for AQUA Water Reflection mineral water, which costs IDR 120,000 per bottle at a five-star resort in Bali.
