It was supposed to be a nice reminder of their elementary school days, but when the parents looked at their children’s class photo, they were stunned. The photographer simply removed three students with disabilities.
The incident recently occurred at a school in Aboyne, southwest of Aberdeen, Scotland. The photographer edited the snapshot and then sent two versions to the parents.
Unbelievable: In one picture all the students were visible, in the other three children with disabilities were missing. The photographer simply deleted the child in the wheelchair and two others. He gave the parents the choice of taking the photo with or without the impaired children.
Concerned mother devastated

Erin (9) is one of the children affected. The girl has autism and was therefore quickly edited out by the photographer. Her mother Natalie Pinnell (38) only found out about the discriminatory action through a conversation with a friend.
She angrily wrote on her blog: “Was it not aesthetically pleasing enough? To say I am disgusted, devastated and absolutely heartbroken is an understatement. Shame on anyone who believes that the extinction of any human being is in any way okay.”
As the 38-year-old assures, the school would not be at fault. She always stood by the affected parents and “handled the incident perfectly.”

“We deeply regret that this has caused any inconvenience and would like to sincerely apologize to the parents and children affected.”
The company assured that this was a one-time error and announced changes to prevent such incidents in the future. What that actually means was left open.
