Outlook prepares a new update. When attaching files to emails It will count OneDrive space usage starting February 2, 2023.

Anyone who likes to email files may need to be able to delete it. Microsoft has announced that it will change Outlook to give us time to attach files in emails to send to others. This will count as your account’s usage of OneDrive space. from which they don’t normally count together. It will begin the update early next year on February 2, 2023, so there is still time to address it.

Microsoft has sent an email to alert users with a Microsoft 365 subscription that they are changing their use of Outlook, causing files attached to emails to use OneDrive cloud space. In the following old and new emails it will also be counted as file storage space usage.

However, the new system only matters file storage space. It does not affect in any way the general writing of the e-mail. Even when the OneDrive space is full, users can still write forwarding emails. I can’t even send files.

But with each email limited to the full file size of only 20MB and usually when sending files in emails, they are usually documents. It probably won’t take up much space. Especially if you’re a Microsoft 365 subscriber, which already adds 1TB of file storage, that shouldn’t be a problem at all. Unless you already take up a lot of storage space.

Microsoft will allow users to move files first. It will add 50GB of storage for free for 1 year. After starting to modify the system on February 2, 2023, this will give users time to prepare. Move files together successfully.
