Outlook for Residential Property Prices and Rental Rates in Bulgaria

It is difficult to see a reduction in residential property prices until the end of the year, although a decline in the number of transactions for the first half of the year continues to be reported. This will mainly depend on interest rates. This was said by the chairman of the National Association “Real Estate” (NSNI), Dobromir Ganev, BTA reported.

Rental prices are not expected to undergo a significant change in September – October, when the academic year for students begins, because since last year, landlords have started adjusting contracts with inflationary clauses, the expert added.

According to him, with Bulgaria’s entry into the Eurozone, there is a possibility that rents will become more expensive due to the interest of foreign companies in moving their teams to our country.

Bulgarian citizens remain the main players in the vacation property market, with buyers who work abroad and are at the beginning of their careers being particularly active, as well as Bulgarians who are at the end of their career and invest in properties for antiques or for your children.
