The actor who played the character of Murtagh Fitzgibbons Fraser, Ducan Lacroix, gave an interview for CinemaBlend, in which he gave details about the death of his character and the fateful scenes.
“I knew my death would come before doing the season, but still, it was weird.”
“The timing was perfect, I was not disappointed to leave the show at that time, but I felt very strange and sad when the day came to shoot the scene.”
Lacroix, revealed how very strange it felt to film the end of his character, feeling a lot of pain, left with a lot of desire for more acting.
But, the actor admits that he knew for a long time that his end was in the third season of Outlander in the battle of Culloden, only that they extended it a little more.

However, the actor also revealed something funny and curious that happened during the filming of the death of his character when he presented problems on the set with wasps.
“The fake blood on my chest attracted a swarm of wasps at one point, it was challenging to film, but it was a very emotional and fun day.”
Besides that, he was also talking about his scene with Jamie (Sam Heughan), in the moments that he had to drag him and take him to where Claire was (Caitriona Balfe) caring for the wounded.
“It was a matter of technicalities, holding your breath and staying as still as possible, but I certainly congratulate Sam and Caitriona for the phenomenal job they did with the death of my character.”
