Bergfreunde GmbH will become a partner of the sporting goods trade association Sport 2000 from February 1st. With the online retailer founded in 2006, the group has won “one of Europe’s leading mountain sports specialists”, Sport 2000 said in a statement on Thursday.
“We are very much looking forward to working with Bergfreunde and are proud that with them we have been able to win another important and high-quality player in the outdoor business,” said Hans-Hermann Deters, one of the managing directors of Sport 2000 Message.
Bergfreunde managing director Ronny Höhn explained the reasons for the partnership from the point of view of the outdoor outfitter: “With Sport 2000 we have a strong partner at our side who optimally supports us in our core competency, outdoor”, he explained. “The successful specialization and strong position of Sport 2000 in the outdoor segment was an important decision factor for us.”
