GameInformer has posted a video featuring 15 minutes of new gameplay from Outcast: A New Beginning. In this video we see the mechanics of a jetpack, which allows you to fly over an alien world at high speed. Elements of the game’s combat system were also demonstrated.
Outcast: A New Beginning puts players in the role of Cutter Slade, a former Navy SEAL with a dry, ’90s sense of humor. The adventure takes place on the alien world of Adelpha, where players will help the locals in their struggle by engaging in fast-paced battles against invading robotic forces.
As you can see, some movement elements look a little rough. The glide is not very smooth, the wings could be better. There’s a lot to polish.
Outcast: A New Beginning is an AA game, so don’t expect it to compete with modern AAA titles. Let’s hope for a good storyline to keep our attention. Since it has no other significant distinctive features.
THQ Nordic will release Outcast: A New Beginning on March 15th, but there is no information on PC system requirements yet.
