An outbreak of trichinosis has been detected in León, affecting 16 individuals who were involved in hunting. The Territorial Health Service discovered the larvae presence in a wild boar sausage that the infected parties apparently shared. After a patient was diagnosed with trichinosis symptoms on April 19th, investigations began, leading to 26 tests being conducted at the Rapid Diagnosis Unit. At present, 16 of them are undergoing treatment. Although four have received serological confirmation, results for the remaining 12 are pending, and further cases cannot be ruled out.
