Police were called to Suffolk, UK, shortly after 2.50pm on Monday, 25 April, to signal an A134 collision.
The collision involving a truck and a white Ford Transit Van occurred between Culford Road and Seven Hills Lane, writes SuffolkLive.
Ambulance and fire crews also arrived, but the driver of the van unfortunately died on the spot.
He was identified as Stephen Holworth, 48, of Nottingham.
Just days after the fatal clash, Holworth’s family wrote a heartbreaking obituary.
It read: “Stephen Holworth was the most caring, loving and kind man who ever walked this earth – he lived for his family.
“His main priority was to take care of his wife, who is not well. He loved his job and could support his family.
He had a heart of gold and was loved by all who knew him.
Our lives are broken, our hearts are broken into millions – our lives will never be the same again. “
He leaves behind a loving wife, four beautiful daughters, a loving mother and a brother. Also loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
We love him so much and we miss him. “
A 41-year-old man has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving in connection with the collision that killed Mr Holworth.
Kalin Angelov appeared before the Ipswich Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday (April 27th), where he was detained pending a hearing in the Ipswich Royal Court on Friday (27 May).
