Many people like to see that, a politician who keeps things light. It also helps to arouse some interest in an audience that is absolutely not (yet) involved in politics. For example, my two earliest political memories are the singing Bert Anciaux with ‘When the smoke has disappeared around your head’ and the late Prime Minister Jean-Luc Dehaene on a rodeo bull. For the latter it was a side act. But at Conner Rousseau, smooth and hip enough in itself, lightness is increasingly the main dish.
