„Today, when Commissioner Wojciechowski asked when there would be money from the KPO for Poland, for the first time no one protested at the college of commissioners. Nobody said anything. They said neither yes nor no. Usually they said ‘no’, says a source in the lobbies of the European Union to wPolityce.pl.
They always said that Poland would not get this money for now. Today there is such a signal
– a person from the lobby tells the portal wPolityce.pl EU.
The situation is maturing for Poland to receive this money, although it is much too late. But we are not offended. We help Ukrainians with our own money and we patiently wait for the justice that should come, because it is a shame and a disgrace for the European Commission that for political reasons it has not transferred this money so far, but some preliminary announcement is that something may happen in in the near future
– he adds.
When asked how KE approach to refugees and whether there are plans to increase budgetary resources for aid, or to create additional distribution paths for this aid, our interlocutor replies:
For now, we are dealing with embarrassment of the EU’s actions – this is both about the EP and the European Commission – we are dealing with embarrassment, because basically no euro has been poured into either refugees or countries that help refugees, and this is a kind of embarrassment. However, all the time there are announcements that the money will be there, and, of course, new instruments will be prepared. The Asylum Fund may be used. At the moment I can say that here this war is still far away. There is still more talk here about the climate and the importance of becoming independent from Russian gas, from the Russian energy industry or Russian minerals by investing in wind farms, in windmills, in green energy, which we criticize and say that this is a future and uncertain event, because we do not know if these wind farms will provide enough energy to exclude coal or gas. We are against it.
We will oppose this to the end, because the EU and European politicians led us to a dead end, that is, the entire West bought gas only from the Russians, and this is Putin’s blackmail. So we should have been buying gas from different sides, from different directions, and we should diversify EU money when it comes to energy investments. Not only green energy, but also nuclear energy, gas energy and ever cleaner energy that comes from coal. In my opinion, it is necessary to persistently show tough real conditions and talk not only about the need for clean air, but about the need for energy security in the EU. So the money that the EU has at the moment, before spending it, you need to think carefully in which direction it will be spent and there cannot be a dictatorship of the wisest, almost infallible commissioners who simply made a total mistake when it comes to the dependence of the EU on Russia
– he notes.
„There are photos, there are own promotions, there are stories about how the Union helps at the moment “
When asked if he has the impression that some of the commissioners or representatives of individual EU countries are trying to take advantage of the war to push through their own businesses, such as pressure on wind farms that cannot replace coal, our interlocutor admits:
Yes. We fell into the green embrace. It is even aggression of the Greens against other political groups and views, and this aggression translates into stupid things that the European Union has been doing in recent years.
As for the commissioners themselves, they were, after all, on the border, including in Poland. They go there, take photos of themselves – some kind of flashback, and then they come here to Brussels, they ignore the fact that the Polish government helps, they just say: “Well, NGOs help, people help, Poles help”. Maybe this is good, only very rarely from the commissioners who have been and have seen, there is information that the Material Reserves Agency spent enormous resources to help Ukrainians, that the Polish government, the police and the army watch over their safety, that hospitals are ready to receive them that schools are ready to accept them. All this is happening thanks to the Polish government, and this is overlooked and kept silent, i.e. there are photos, there are own promotions, there are stories about how the Union helps at the moment, because it is in solidarity in sanctions, and sanctions do not work
– enumerates, stressing that “sanctions are introduced, but they will work, if they work, then in a year at the earliest”.
Putin is simply laughing at the sanctions that are being introduced. Anyway, the West buys minerals and provides Putin every day with 600 million euros, so here it is far from the war and the well-being of the European Union is focused on business and economic matters. And there is a huge discussion that the only option for the future for the EU is to become independent from coal and gas from Russia, but only by investing in green energy
– adds the source, pointing out that “this is another doctrine that we criticize and say:” No, let there be green energy, but there must be other sources of energy – then we will be safer “.
