A photo from a beach in neighboring Greece was the reason for the online debate about which sea is more beautiful, he saw Sofia24.bg. The caption to the shot reads: “For those who want a beach and sea without stones… The photo is from the shores of Lefkada. It’s far better in Ofrinio!”.

The comments were not long in coming, here are some Facebook users who meekly voiced their opinions:

“There is no place to compare! The beaches of Lefkada are rocky, but the island has amazing views. Every place has its own charm”;

“Whoever doesn’t like Ofrinho, come to Thassos (I’m currently here for a day). Sunny pastures to eat – people, people, prices and what not. The bonus is that you park at least a kilometer from the crowded beach” ;

“Lefkada is light years better than the village of Ofrinio”.

The dispute and attacks were not long in coming, here is what people are writing:

“The grapes are sour”;

“Where did you find this picture? You will turn people away from Ofrinio with it. Only the natives are missing for opulence”;

“But there is something else… now, for those who don’t like the beaches in Greece, we have them in Bulgaria too… sand without stones as much as you want…”;

“No stones, yes, but almost all of us have buried faces”;

“Nobody took you to Greece by force”;

“I’m going to faint….I’ve never heard a more stupid comparison…..comparing Lefkada with Ofrinio”;

“Our people bought villas on Ofrinio, Iraklitsi, Kiramotita, Fanarita and, according to them, other nicer beaches in Greece, no, big laugh!!! On Halkidiki or Kefalonia, the worst beaches are preferable to the aforementioned windmills. Only the sandy beaches of Halkidiki are with a total length greater than that of the Bulgarian ones on the Black Sea, let me clarify for those who send me to the Zlatni! I would never visit that broiler house!”.
