/ world today news/ What do German Foreign Minister Steinmeier and Miss Playmate have in common? Actually, nothing. Except that the news about the visit of the first one to our country and the news about the participation of a Bulgarian woman in the German edition of the “Miss Playmate” contest appeared at the same time. Or at least in the Bulgarian media.
It turns out that a Bulgarian girl (not bad-looking at all), who has been living in Austria for 12 years, is the first girl from our country to sign a contract with the famous magazine “Playboy” and compete in the German “Miss Playmate”.
This news, of course, ignited a wild fire in social networks and, above all, ignited the male representation in them, but as if this fire also melted the little intellect left in our people “somewhere over there, far from the Motherland”.
“Let’s vote for our girl” call most of our citizens abroad, for whom Antonia Petrova* seems to be the embodiment of “everything Bulgarian and native”. We have to support her because… well how why, eh? And you ask! Well, very clearly – because she is Bulgarian. Well, yes, but this Bulgarian woman doesn’t seem to stand out (at least at first glance) with anything special, except for her debauchery and her audacity to show what nature has gifted her with.
It’s okay – the girl wants to participate in a similar contest, she’s welcome – let her! However, it is not clear to me why the entire Bulgarian representation in Germany should be morally obliged to vote “yes” and vote at all, just because the girl’s name is Antonia and not Helga, for example.
What’s more: since when has the “Miss Playmate” contest, which in our country gives birth to “stars” like the black, blonde and I don’t know who you are Zlatka, been our criterion for beauty, quality and morality? We also have it in Bulgaria, yes, but is this model ours? Does it reflect the Bulgarian essence and values, or have we simply adopted it because it is so modern, and because nudity is hidden in developed countries like Germany, which we try so hard to emulate?
The interesting thing is that when you ask our compatriots abroad whether they vote with the same enthusiasm for the Bulgarian version of the “Miss Playmate” contest, things get a bit blurry. For some, Antonia Petrova is an image of a different Bulgarian woman in Europe – a woman far from the criminal world and social frauds. Despite the fact that it is probably not a reflection of their own understanding of beauty and qualities. For others, Nashenka does not need thousands of wishes for success to “wave her tits and ass”.
That’s right, dear compatriots abroad. I am Bulgarian and “I love everything Bulgarian and native”, but this time, I hope, you will allow me, and all other dissenters, to vote for “our green mountains” instead of Antonia Petrova.
PS Just to remind you that there are many other causes related to Bulgaria that you can vote for, although they are not as “prestigious” as the German “Miss Playmate” contest. One such opportunity was the European Tree of the Year 2015. Did you vote for our representative then?
*The name matches that of “Miss Bulgaria” from 2009.
