It has been a while since the release of God of War Ragnarök. that many players can finish the story part AND already experience various side quests within the game
And one of the interesting side quests Comes from a real person, namely “Across the Realms” (in all realms), players will be able to receive this quest in the second half of the game.

It was at this point that Santa Monica Studio senior programmer Sam Handrick revealed that the research had been his idea. Yari and Somer’s story is dedicated to “Jake Snipes”, the person Sam loves more than anything.
Sam and Jake first met in 2019 at Santa Monica Studio, where they had the opportunity to develop God of War Ragnarök, and their shared passions quickly became friends.

Jake died in 2020 of epilepsy.
Before we leave, there’s a moment where Sam and Jake talk about wanting to add some symbols. to represent their love within the game and can be summed up in the shape of a heart. Their initials are engraved in the center in runes (J = Jari/Jake, S = Somr/Sam).
Though Sam always and forever grieves over what happened, he continues to develop God of War Ragnarök, hoping to leave a part of Jake in it, which his supervisor has helped. eventually becoming an Across the Realms mission as seen in the game
A research that tells the story of two men. That meeting in the middle of a harsh world is the message Sam wants to wish everyone to meet the right person. A person who is like a warm home I always wait for you to come back Even if the people around you don’t understand you.
The glow from this bonfire will last forever. And even Fimbalwinter’s cold winds can’t stop him from ascending, and Sam hopes everyone can attempt this quest at their leisure. A quest that brings the story of a man Sam will always remember.
