About 300 people took part this morning in the demonstration for the defense of the health services of the province promoted by the Special Health Commission of the Municipality of Oristano, together with CGIL, CISL and UIL and various associations. After the introduction by Andrea Sanna, the mayor of Oristano Andrea Lutzu spoke on behalf of CGIL Cisl and Uil who made a call to the unity of all to obtain adequate health services for the province of Oristano, a territory forgotten for too long .
From the mayor Lutzu the request for the immediate reopening of the San Martino emergency room, and for the strengthening of all local and hospital services. “We need facts, Lutzu said, and concrete answers from those who have to provide them.” .
Marcello Grussu, from the Diabetics Association, also spoke on behalf of Cittadinanzattiva, Komunque donne, Associazione Thalassemici.
Grussu recalled the primacy that places the province of Oristano among those in Sardinia with the highest incidence of elderly and chronically ill population. “Patients who have undergone a drastic cut in the services dedicated to them in recent months and therefore to the right to treatment”.
The Mayor of Bosa Pier Francesco Casula recalled that he was present together with some mayors of Planargia to testify the unity of the provincial territory, as requested by the mayor of Oristano.
