Our goal is not to lock people up

The director of Epidemiology of the province, Carolina Cudós, assured this Friday night that the objective of the Santa Fe health authorities “is not to lock up people” but “to protect the health and life of all so that they can work”.

Cudós made these statements minutes ago, at the usual press conference in which the provincial daily epidemiological report is presented and within the framework of a day when there were records of contagions and deaths from coronavirus in Santa Fe.

Without half measures, the official remarked that “the protocols and detailed that infections are being recorded in companies where “without a doubt there are issues that are being done wrong.”

Next, he admitted that “many people tell us that they are trying to do activities because they are afraid that they will be locked up” and remarked that the provincial authorities “do not have the objective of locking up the population. We want to protect health and life so that they can work“, he assured.

However, he admitted that “The dispersion of cases throughout the province worries”, within the framework of a day in which the acceleration of the contagion curve was evident.

This acceleration, and the occupation of critical beds, is what the authorities are closely following to define an eventual reversal in the isolation phases.
