An insidious sickness took the everyday living of our colleague and friend, photographer Evgeni Tsvetkov.
Evgeni died at the age of 70 right after a very long sickness. We will all try to remember him with the digicam, which was his consistent companion in his professional function. He expended all 25 years of his lifestyle in the editorial business office of the newspaper “Maritsa”.
Evgeni Tsvetkov was born in 1952 in Dobrich. He has lived in Plovdiv considering that 1957. He graduated from the technological faculty of printing and pictures “Julius Fuchik”, specializing in pictures. For 15 many years he labored as a photographer at the Sporting activities Information Centre of the Bulgarian Union for Actual physical Training and Activity in Plovdiv.
From 1990 to 1991 he was a photojournalist in the “Otechestven Glas” village, from 1991 to 2016 – in the “Maritsa” village, then from 2016 to 2020 he was a freelance photojournalist for “24 hrs”. In 2002 he gained to start with prize in the national BG Press Picture level of competition.
He received the 2006 “Plovdiv Prize” in the “Images” area for his exhibition “The most dramatic functions in 1989 – 1997 in Plovdiv and the location”.
The funeral will be held on Saturday 3 September at 11 am in the Rogoshko Shosse funeral park.
