Proposals for the anniversary of the Rehabilitation Center are closing
Final stage of the celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the La Nostra Famiglia rehabilitation center in Ponte Lambro: this is the exhibition “What there is, there already is!”, which will be held at the youth and cultural association Lo Snodo in Erba today and tomorrow, Saturday 19th and Sunday 20th October.
The exhibition is the culmination of an annual journey of graphic, pictorial, manual and expressive activities by primary school children in the care of the rehabilitation centre. There are around fifty works, created with different techniques.
The amazement of those who watch the exhibition and of the children who create it
“The aim of our work and the aim of the exhibition is to amaze and be amazed: amazement is first of all what emerges in the moment in which every child discovers himself capable and author of beauty, but amazement also belongs to those who look and, seeing , imagine and fantasize. The final work, the work of art, are not simple objects, but arise from stories and propose stories – explains the manager of the Centre, Barbara Ponti – The child who creates does not limit himself to making or carrying out a manual sequence prepared by the adult but tells himself and tells himself a story: who is that little bird I am drawing? where does it come from? where you go? The hope is that every adult who comes to experience our exhibition can imagine, create a story, fantasize about what they see.”
