Pekcan, Turkey Exporters Assembly (TIM) announced export figures for the month of September at a meeting held at the Foreign Trade Complex.
Minister Pekcan stated that, as President Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated yesterday, in September 2020, they not only achieved a success for September and 2020, but also reached the highest September export figure to date.
Stating that September exports were 16 billion 13 million dollars with an increase of 4.8 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and 28.5 percent compared to August, Pekcan said, “I congratulate all our export family that made a record export in September.” said.
Pekcan stated that the export increase in the 3rd quarter was 34.5 percent compared to the 2nd quarter and said, “These figures confirm that the recovery from the pandemic effect and the normalization process continue successfully in our exports. The V-type recovery of our economy offers positive signs for third quarter growth. ” he spoke.
Minister Pekcan said that the ratio of exports excluding gold to imports reached 90.9 percent in September, and that it remained at a very high level of 84.4 percent in the first 9 months.
