“Here I fooled Federer”: Del Potro jokes with Ginobili on the US Open Champions wall

A funny video circulated on social media showing Juan Martin Del Potro together with former basketball player Manu Ginobili, a legendary player of the San Antonio Spurs and an Argentine sports icon. The former US Open champion showed his compatriot the Wall of Champions in Flushing Meadows, which contains the names of all the winners of the tournament.

Unbeknownst to the athletes, Del Potro was caught on camera pointing out the five titles Roger Federer won in a row from 2004 to 2008. In 2009, Del Potro ended that streak and won his only Grand Slam title, which the former world number 3 hilariously recalled: “Federer, Federer, Federer, Federer, Federer… and here I was screwing him,” he commented to Ginobili.
