Since their arrival, the doctors of the 5th Chinese medical mission have been carrying out free consultations appreciated by the Burkinabè and donating medicines, both to the Tengadogo university hospital center and to other health facilities in Burkina.
Despite their very busy schedule, they organized a visit to the Kouritenga B public primary school, located in district 6 of the city of Ouagadougou, on Tuesday April 3, 2023. The objective is to show their friendship to the toddlers and teachers of this school.
The team led by the Head of the 5th Joint Mission, Doctor Zuo Yi, is made up of ten medical specialists, two interpreters and a cook. She was received by the director of the school, Mathieu Nonguierma in the presence of the Head of the Kouritenga district.
After the usual greetings, the Head of the district thanked the Chinese doctors for this visit, the choice of which was made for the school in his district. Following him, the director of the school welcomed the initiative before briefly presenting his school to his visitors.
Since 2018, China and Burkina have had good friendly relations and it is in the name of this friendship that the Chinese doctors wanted to visit the schoolchildren and wish them good luck in their studies. The Chief of the 5th Medical Mission expressed its sincere thanks to the first person in charge and to the teachers of the school for the reception.
Under the leadership of the school director, the Chinese doctors were able to visit the students of the different courses in turn, answering their questions and giving them advice: “Work well in class, listen well to your teachers, success comes at the end of the effort”.
They then offered the school school supplies consisting of notebooks and packets of Bics and twelve footballs.
Discussions with the teaching staff ended the visit, but before leaving, the Chinese doctors promised to return for free consultations with the students in the coming days.
As a reminder, the Kouritenga B public primary school has a total of 415 students divided into 6 classes from CPNB1 to CM2 and supervised by 10 teachers. Thanks to the selflessness and dedication of its staff, the Kourtitenga B school is one of the best schools in the basic education district of Ouaga 6, with regard to its excellent performance in the primary school certificate.
