Agency Mitsubishi held certification of the recently updated crossover ASX extensionissuing an OTTS for it. Although this has not been officially announced, this news directly indicates that the Japanese model will be sold in Russia. But the new Mitsubishi ASX 2023 will be delivered to our country directly from a home car plant.
According to OTTS, the Japanese novelty will be offered in two versions. The basic version features a naturally aspirated 1.6-litre engine that delivers no more than 117 HP. useful power. Optionally, with a crossover, you can purchase a 2-liter engine, the maximum power of which reaches 150 hp. As standard, the Japanese model is equipped with a manual gearbox, when a variator is supplied with it as an addition. Optionally with the ASX, all-wheel drive will also be available. The length of the crossover reaches 4360 mm, and the distance between the wheel axles is 2670 mm.
A complete list of equipment that will be offered with the new ASX in Russia has not yet been announced. But, probably, Mitsubishi will bring a crossover to our country in medium and top versions, since the price of the basic version with minimal equipment will be too high – the car will be imported finished. In this regard, with the new ASX it will be possible to purchase panoramic glazing, a lane keeping assistant, an improved multimedia complex and a surround viewing system.
Please note that we are talking about certification of the current version of the Japanese crossover. Recently it became known that Mitsubishi is preparing a major update for this model. At the same time, little is known about the future Japanese crossover. According to rumors it will only come with hybrid installations and will be sold in Asian markets.
