It was on Wednesday night that the news came that Otto Wallin’s match against Dillian Whyte was canceled. The British boxer could not go up in the ring due to a shoulder injury.
But Wallin is not entirely convinced that Whyte is really injured. The Swede’s team now wants to make sure that the Briton did not just pull out to avoid meeting him and instead go straight into a World Cup match against Tyson Fury.
The team has therefore sent a letter to the boxing organization WBC demanding that the match be decided at a later time and that the winner meet Tyson Fury for the World Cup title.
– I want to hear the truth from Whyte, Wallin says at a press conference on Friday night.
The fight would have taken place at the O2 Arena in London on October 30 – and Wallin is sure he would have won.
– My goal is to become world champion in heavyweight and I want to go this match, says Wallin who has trained long before the match:
– I have put a lot of money into training. Around $ 15,000-20,000 at a training camp and I have been away from my family for two years. It is unfair that it happened like this.
If and when the fight can get rid of is highly uncertain.
– I want to fight against Dillian Whyte, but I do not know if it will happen, says Otto Wallin.
