OTT Regent of Banggai Laut, KPK Arrested 16 People

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – A total of 16 people were arrested NCP in a series of hand-catching operations against the Regent Banggai Laut Wenny Bukamo, Thursday (3/12/2020).

“There are 16 parties that have been secured, including the Regent of Banggai Laut, officials in the Banggai Laut Regency Government and several private parties,” said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri, Friday (4/12/2020).

Ali said that in this arrest, the Regent of Banggai Laut allegedly received a sum of money from the private sector.

“The alleged corruption in this case is related to the provision of a sum of money from the private sector / contractor for the implementation of work to state officials, in this case the Regent of Banggai Laut,” said Ali.

Quoted from Kompas.tv, the parties caught in the catch operation were taken by Polairud’s fast boat and arrived at the People’s Port of Luwuk, Banggai Regency, Friday morning.

They were immediately taken to the Banggai Police Headquarters for examination before being flown to Jakarta.

In accordance with the provisions of the Criminal Procedure Code, the KPK has 1×24 hours to determine the legal status of the arrested parties.
