The modernization of the X3 and iX3 models was supposed to remain under wraps for a few more months, but new photos escaped from China completely without camouflage.

It is not so long since a picture of the modernized BMW X3 prematurely appeared on the website of the Spanish BMW dealership. Although the first escape did not offer many details, it was an interesting harbinger of modernization, which was to be unveiled in early summer. But thanks to China, we no longer have to wait.
Several pictures have appeared on the website of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, which reveal not only the modernized BMW X3, but also its purely electric sibling with the designation iX3. Of course, these are versions for Chinese markets, but most exterior changes should be a global issue. So what can we look forward to?

Right at the beginning, we can start with the positive information that the kidneys have remained at a fairly normal size, but they are even more significantly connected in the style of modern BMWs and have slightly modified shapes. After all, in the gallery we can see several different designs of closed kidneys for the iX3 model.
However, you can also see the M Sport Package, which will give both models, for example, sportier bumpers. There are detailed shots of various decors and accessories, such as black window sills, black mirror covers or highlighted holes in the fenders behind the front wheels.
Other significant points of innovation include the new shapes of headlights, which are sharper cut, more aggressive and will probably offer new daytime running light graphics. However, the rear lights are also new, which should, among other things, also offer 3D graphics.

Unfortunately, we do not have photos of the interior available, but it is expected that the changes in the cabin will be rather minor and will focus, for example, on infotainment and the range of materials. No major changes are expected under the hood.
The Munich carmaker has not yet announced a specific premiere date for the modernized BMW X3 and iX3, but it is generally expected that the unveiling will take place during June. It is interesting that the iX3 facelift will probably be the fastest since the introduction of the new model in the history of BMW. But the carmaker needs the purely electric version to keep up with the conventional version, which has been on the market for a little longer.
