Other Chinese car makers Omoda and Jaecoo are heading to the Czech market – Novinky

The Omoda brand is the first to operate on the Czech market with the Omoda 5 model. The second car to be offered is the all-electric Omoda E5. The Jaecoo brand will be introduced to the Czech market with the Jaecoo 7 model.

According to media reports, Chery has postponed its plan to start production of electric cars in Europe for a year. He justified this by introducing preliminary tariffs on the import of electric cars from China. The company now plans to produce the Omoda 5 electric car in Spain from October 2025. The plan is to bring in partially produced cars for final assembly.

After a year and a half since the global launch of the Omoda and Jaecoo brand, global sales have exceeded 350,000 cars. Since the holidays, the number of cars sold has been steadily increasing by around 20,000 units per month. The brand’s rapid global expansion currently means more than 900 dealer network partners in 32 global markets with a complete sales and service system.

Omoda 5 and E5 entered the Spanish market in February. Later, the brands Omoda and Jaecoo appeared in Poland and Great Britain.

Chinese car sales in the Czech Republic are growing. According to the Association of Automobile Importers, 5,053 Chinese-made cars were sold in the Czech Republic until September this year, which is 44 percent higher than last year as a whole. The best selling brands are MG and Tesla.
