The winner of the Latvian Television Song Contest “Supernova 2022” has been announced live tonight – the group “Other Boys” with the song “Eat Your Salad” will represent Latvia at the 66th International Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, Italy.

It is an honor to be nominated to represent Latvia, an opportunity to show music created in Latvia to a huge audience, a responsibility to bring Latvia to the Eurovision final. In the final of the Supernova competition, the results of the audience’s text message and telephone vote were counted together with the results of the jury vote.
The song of the group “Other Boys” will be performed in the first semifinal on May 10 at the 66th International Eurovision Song Contest in Turin, Italy. Albania, Switzerland, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Portugal, Denmark, Armenia, Austria, Croatia, Iceland and Greece will also take part. The second semi-final of Eurovision will take place on May 12, the final – on May 14.
The group “Other Boys” is a self-proclaimed “rap princes and 21st century pop music diva” – a musical association of six people whose music can be described as “a fresh tonic can first shaken and then opened”. The band consists of Jānis Pētersons (vocals), Dagnis Roziņš (vocals and saxophone), Reinis Višķeris (keyboards), Krišjānis Ozols (guitar), Roberts Memmēns (bass) and Toms Kagainis (drums). At the end of 2021, the group’s debut album “Dogs Go Out on the Streets” was released. The band’s latest single is “Limousine on Chalk”.

LTV will publish detailed results, indicating the seats allocated by the jury and the results of the audience voting. LTV will open the composition of the competition jury after the international Eurovision Song Contest. The jury includes representatives of the Latvian music industry, event industry and television, as well as foreign professionals.
