Other airlines are returning to Prague, so far 35 destinations have been officially confirmed

From tomorrow, the connection with Croatia is returning, Ryanair expects the largest renewal of routes to Italy in the second half of the month. Flights are in the system, but they usually can’t be bought.

Air traffic in Prague is slowly coming to life. During May, other airlines announced their return to Prague, and a number of carriers will also expand their operations to other destinations.

Tomorrow, Smartwings will start operating on the line to Split, Croatia, and from Wednesday on Lanzarote. During May, Czech Airlines will start flying to Iceland and Amsterdam. The Latvian airBaltic is also returning to Prague, so far it will only fly to Riga once a week. Passengers can also re-use Vueling’s regular flight to Barcelona. So far, traffic to 35 destinations has been officially confirmed.

Ryanair, which was the largest carrier in Prague for several weeks last autumn, is planning a big return. He is currently flying only from London to Prague, and will resume flights to Malaga next week. From May 16, it will add a total of 24 more destinations in a single week. Only three of them (Madrid, Marseille and Trapani) can buy tickets. Experience over the past year shows that eventual resumption of operations may not occur. “We are negotiating the renewal of other lines with the carrier, it will depend mainly on the demand for the given destinations and the currently set conditions for travel,“Said Kateřina Pavlíková, spokeswoman for Prague Airport.

The biggest return in Ryanair’s reservation system concerns Italy: it will reconnect to Milan, Rome, Venice, Pescara, Bari, Bologna and Trapani. He will also start flying to Zadar, Croatia, returning to Amman. The list of lines in the reservation system for May also includes Edinburgh, Madrid, Stockholm, Gothenburg, Krakow, Riga or Košice. Connections to Budapest, Brussels, Copenhagen, Billund, Marseille and Bordeaux are also returning.

The routes of other carriers to key European cities, such as Paris, Frankfurt or Amsterdam, as well as flights to Dubai and Doha, remain in operation in Prague.

The airport recommends that all passengers who have a flight currently scheduled always find out all the currently valid travel conditions before the trip, in order to avoid possible complications during check-in or border checks.
