Osvalds Zebris (1975) studied economics and business management at the University of Latvia. He has worked as a journalist and editor for newspapers and magazines. In prose, Osvalds Zebris made his debut in 2010 with the collection of stories “Freedom in Networks”, which was awarded the Latvian Literature of the Year Award in the nomination “The Brightest Debut”. In 2017, the writer received the European Union Literature Prize for his novel In the Shadow of the Rooster Hill (2014). In 2019, the novel “Māra” was published, and in 2021 – a collection of stories “Šaubas”.
