Osmani “recommended” Angel Dimitrov to study history, not politics

The co-chair of the Bulgarian side of the Joint Multidisciplinary Commission of Experts on Historical and Educational Issues Angel Dimitrov is not a politician, but a historian, advice that deals with history, not politics.

This was stated today by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia Buyar Osmani in response to a reporter’s question about the comment on Dimitrov’s statementthat the country is not a candidate for EU membership, the MKD announced.

Minister Osmani underlined this one of the fundamental principles of the agreement with Bulgaria is to separate these two things – the politics of politicians and the history of historians.

“Angel Dimirov clearly shows some political ambition, but once again I have to say that he should focus on the next meeting of the historical commission, get ready, because there is someone to talk about politics with,” Osmani said today.

Dimitrov said it in one step, the EU reminded Macedonia that it must abide by the good neighborly agreement with Bulgaria. This opens the door to our objections and requests to the country, he said in the “Brussels 1” program on “Bulgaria on Air”.

Buyar Osmani: a club named after Tsar Boris III harms the Macedonian Bulgarians

It is not in the interest of the spirit of dialogue and friendship

We recall that Osmani had already commented on the Bulgarians in his country regarding another scandal. He believes that the opening of the Bulgarian club “Tsar Boris the Third” in Ohrid is a provocation that harms the Bulgarian community in his country.

Before that, a protest was held at the opening of the Bulgarian club “Tsar Boris III”, with demonstrators singing “Bulgars, Tartars and Fascists” and striking the building where the club is housed with eggs and stones and carrying posters with inscriptions against Bulgaria and appeals against the European union which supported the “fascist claims of Bulgaria”.
