17 December this year will be Veiteberg’s last working day as bishop in Oslo. On 18 December, she starts her first day of work as city mission priest, writes The class struggle.
– Seven years is enough. It is a sacred number, and it is long enough to leave a mark. I have been able to implement some of the visions I have brought into the service, and I have had, and will still have, many good meetings with people, says the Oslo bishop to the newspaper.
Veiteberg was appointed Oslo’s first female bishop in 2017. She became the first bishop in Oslo to be appointed by the Church Council, and not the King in the Council of State.
