The Neapolitan directors are furious to see that Victor Osimhen is still there after the transfer window closed in Europe. The striker has been removed from the squad list and his number has been assigned to Romelu Lukaku.

Worse still, his number, 9, will be taken away and immediately given to Romelu Lukaku, the Belgian striker who signed for Napoli at the request of Antonio Conte. For the Italian club, it is clearly a question of forcing Victor Osimhen’s hand so that he says yes to the Saudi offers, the transfer window ending Monday evening there.
