What can you expect from the ÖSD certificate B2 exam – Austrian language diploma:
For the ÖSD exam B2 Intermediate German, participants from the age of 16 should be able to express themselves clearly and in detail on a wide range of topics and to have a normal conversation with native speakers spontaneously and fluently. In their own special field, they can already understand texts on specialist topics.
The exam consists of two modules: written (reading, listening, writing) and oral (speaking).
Things to know about the exam:
This test represents proof of language competence in communication situations that go beyond the private sphere into the (semi)public and in some cases professional spheres. For more information and a model exam to practice, see the OSD website.
During the exam you may write a bilingual (but not electronic) use dictionary. If you want that, you have to bring it yourself.
Please be sure to bring a valid photo ID with you to the exam.

Career Opportunities:
The exam is known as proof of German language skills in the public and private job market and offers the diploma holder better chances when looking for a job. It is also recognized as proof of B2 level for various training courses and for obtaining Austrian citizenship.
