Western OSCE monitors leave Donetsk, sources say

OSCE observers from the United States, EU countries and Great Britain are leaving the uncontrolled part of Donbass, sources say.

Some members of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission may be leaving the “DPR”. It is reported by Interfax with reference to a well-informed source on Sunday, February 12.

“Now six cars are crossing the demarcation line through the Oleksandrivka checkpoint (a suburb of Donetsk – ed.) in the direction of Ukraine,” the report says.

According to the source, this may indicate the beginning of the evacuation of observers from the “DPR”, since earlier, as a rule, only two or three patrol vehicles of the mission crossed the line of contact.

The OSCE has not yet commented officially on the information about the evacuation.

And the separatist media report that OSCE observers from the EU countries and the UK are also leaving Donbass.
