Switzerland Tourism (ST) has twice won first place at the Valencia International Tourism Film Festival (CIFFT). The two successful filmsNo Drama”, with Roger Federer and Robert de Niro, as well as “No One Upstages the Grand Tour”, with Roger Federer and Anne Hathaway, were rewarded.
The International Committee of Tourism Film Festivals (CIFFT) is the umbrella organization representing up to ten international film festivals each year with a focus on tourism promotion. Festivals take place in Asia, Europe and North America. The films which participate and are rewarded thus earn points for the general ranking established at the end of the year.
The 35th edition of the “Annual World Tourism Film Award” took place on November 22 in Valencia (Spain). Throughout the year, more than 4,000 films were presented in different festivals, 110 were selected for the annual general classification and 27 of them were finally rewarded yesterday in Valencia. Switzerland is the only country to have managed to secure first place in two categories. Suisse Tourisme (ST) not only achieved a double gold, but also won the nation ranking for Switzerland.
The film “No Drama” starring Roger Federer and Robert de Niro won first place in the “Tourism Destination Countries” category. First place in the “Tourism Products” category was won by the film “No One Upstages the Grand Tour” starring Roger Federer and Anne Hathaway. The trophies were presented on site to André Hefti, Chief Marketing Officer of ST, and Martin Pally, Head of Campaigns.
