Oscars 2022 will not be awarded until the end of March next year, but on Tuesday the American Film Academy announced, among other things, the so-called short list of titles that will have a chance to be nominated for the best international film. Polish candidate – “Let there be no traces” Jan P. Matuszyński was eliminated from the race.

On Tuesday, the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (also known as the American Film Academy) announced short lists of titles that will compete for nominations in several categories. “Let there be no traces” by Jan P. Matuszyński, which represented Poland in the Best International Film category, was left off the shortlist.

This year, the Academy accepted applications from 92 countries. The short list includes 15 titles: “Great Freedom” (Austria), “Un monde” (Belgium), “Luanana: A Yak in the Classroom” (Bhutan), “Survive” (Denmark), “Range number 6” ( Finland), “I am yours” (Germany), “Lamb” (Iceland), “Hero” (Iran), “It was God’s hand” (Italy), “Drive My Car” (Japan), “Ul” (Kosovo) , “Prayer for Better Days” (Mexico), “The Worst Man in the World” (Norway), “Plaza Catedral” (Panama) and “Boss of the Year” (Spain).
