Oscar-nominated “Love and Monsters” will be released in April | MovieZine

Action, adventure, romance and big-bodied creatures are promised in “Love and Monsters”, one of this year’s more untipped Oscar nominees.

In the film, we meet Joel (Dylan O’Brien from “The Maze Runner”) who embarks on a dangerous journey to be reunited with his girlfriend Aimee (Jessica Henwick). Seven years have passed since they were separated by the so-called Monster apocalypse. But the road to love is long and full of fangs.

Check out the trailer that reveals that “Love and Monsters” will be coming to Netflix on April 14 – well in advance of this year’s Oscars!

“Love and Monsters” is an Oscar nominee in the Best Visual Effects class, something we can thank Matt Sloan, Genevieve Camilleri, Matt Everitt and Brian Cox for. They have worked on such different films as “The Martian”, “Mad Max: Fury Road”, “Matrix” … and “Cats”.

They compete against “Tenet”, “Mulan”, “The Fantastic Ivan” and the Netflix drama “The Midnight Sky”.
