Comedy has always been a subjective art form. And after Will Smith hit Chris Rock because he was joking with his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, many viewers wondered when or if a joke goes too far.
Oscar co-host Amy Schumer has spoken out against what happened to Will Smith, saying the whole thing was “so disturbing” and that “it’s waiting for this disgusting feeling we’ve all witnessed to disappear.” Buzzfeed.
Amy also faced a sharp reaction to a joke she made about Oscar nominee Kirsten Dunst. During her sketch, Amy called Kirsten a “filling seat.” It later emerged that the joke was choreographed by both Kirsten and her husband Jesse Plemons.

The actress and stand-up comedian revealed a joke she was not allowed to say on television during the ceremony: “Don’t look up is the name of a movie? Rather, don’t look down into the barrel of Alec Baldwin’s rifle. I wasn’t allowed to say any of that at the Oscars, but one can just go out and slap someone else. “
According to her now, she is happy that she did not joke about the tragic incident in which Alec Baldwin fatally shot camerawoman Halina Hutchins during a rehearsal.
“And I don’t know about you, but I’m really glad that this joke didn’t make it to television,” said Amy Schumer.
She added that she also planned jokes about Joe Rogan and allegations of sexual misconduct against James Franco.
