Carles Puyol shared a joke at Rafael Marquez placeholder image‘s expense as they watched Barcelona’s 2-0 win over Osasuna on Saturday night.
The pair discussed Ronald Koeman‘s system, which saw the Catalans line up with three central defenders at El Sadar.
“Barcelona are playing three at the back at times but what they need is a centre-back who can break the lines or that can find [Antoine] Griezmann‘s runs directly, what do you think?” Marquez tweeted.
The question was answered by the Mexican’s former defensive partner at Barcelona, Puyol.
“When we played together, I was the one giving those direct passes,” Puyol joked.
