Osame Sahraoui: The Rising Star in European Football – Who is he really?

Long described as a “nugget”, Osame Sahraoui has, this time, the opportunity to showcase his talent in one of the best divisions in the world. Trained in the excellent Vålerenga training center, the young Norwegian (22 years old) has impressed in the Eredivisie, in the Netherlands, for barely a year.

Tracked by three French clubs (OGC Nice, LOSC and Stade Rennais), but also by German and Spanish teams, the Heerenveen player arouses much desire. But who is he really?

Born in Oslo and of Moroccan origin, Osame Sahraoui first played with the Atlas Lions for the U17s. Unfortunately for him, Morocco did not know how to seize his chance and did not call him up again. He therefore chose to represent Norway with whom he played for a long time in U21 before playing his first match with the “A” against Jordan (an assist).

If you have done some research, one of its main advantages must have jumped out at you. His dribbling quality. Hard-hitting, fast and technical, the Norwegian combines all the characteristics of a (left) winger capable of making a difference.

Also, he likes to combine with his teammates. You will have understood, he is a player who knows how to make differences. His rather frail physique (barely 1.70 m and around 60 kg) means that he is sometimes easily moved physically, but allows him to be lively and cause changes of direction when dribbling. Added to this is obviously its difficulty in establishing itself in the airline sector.

Another of its strengths is its adaptability. Since he plays as an “inverted” winger (left winger but right-footed), he is also capable of playing on the right lane and as an attacking midfielder. His passing skills, crosses and his very good vision of the game allow him to put his teammates in very good conditions in offensive phases.

Be careful though with its finish which remains quite feverish despite a clear improvement over the past six months. His adaptability in Ligue 1 should not be questioned in our opinion. Osame already speaks French and is not shy about his efforts off the field, there is no doubt that he will end up winning, but be patient, he still has a lot to learn.
