The first Influens festival will not take place in July 2024. It is Hervé Clemenceau, organizer of the current music meeting planned at the Pesqué arenas, who announces this “with regret”.
“This difficult decision stems from several factors seriously impacting the viability of the event,” he laments. We took into consideration the precarious situation of the festival industry, faced with increasing difficulties in attracting the public who often decide at the last minute. Bad weather, increasingly frequent and unpredictable, has forced many festivals to cancel entire days, resulting in considerable financial losses linked to production costs and refunds. »
Soaring insurance premiums
But above all, “a major obstacle which weighed on our decision was the dizzying rise in insurance premiums,” reveals the manager. These costs now represent more than 30% of the festival’s total budget, seriously compromising our ability to ensure the financial stability necessary to hold the event. »
Thanking “the municipality, local stakeholders and the population” for their support, the team is therefore working “to rethink the concept, in its form but not in its content”, and plans to organize it in an indoor location. Patrons and sponsors are welcome, and can contact Hervé Clemenceau on 06 33 98 43 11 or by email: alasaucebearnaise@gmail.com
