In the 15th minute, Jakub Rybka saved himself with a foul in a difficult situation and illegally stopped his rival. And since this would be a one-on-one situation, the referee had no choice but to throw the home player off the field. The situation repeated itself in the 40th minute, when Rafał Jaworski was sent off in similar circumstances.
Lewart took advantage of the second situation, because Aleks Aftyka scored a free kick to make it 0:1. The three-point question seemed to be settled. Meanwhile, in the 55th minute, a great counterattack by the hosts, during which the Orlęta exchanged eight passes from their goal, ended with a 1:1 goal by Patryk Kierepka. The irritated guests started from the inside and quickly scored the second goal, this time thanks to Łukasz Najda. Until the final whistle, however, the result remained an open question, because the visitors were unable to close the meeting.
“It’s a shame that all the effort the guys put into the game didn’t get a point because we deserved it. I’m really proud of the team, because with nine of us we played not even as equals, but even as a football team better. But that’s football, very brutal and we couldn’t equalize a second time. It’s a pity that the quickly lost goal – says Maciej Syga, coach of the team from Łuków.
Grzegorz Białek, Lewart’s keeper, took a deep breath. “It’s good that we won, but we definitely should have closed the game much earlier. The rivals played very ambitious and spoiled a lot of blood for us – explains the trainer.
Powiślak is in the best position when it comes to avoiding relegation. Radosław Muszyński’s team defeated Opolanina 1:0 in the last round and Jarosław Milcz scored from the penalty spot on target. As a result, he has 25 points, six more than Górnik II, second in the relegation group, and seven more than the next teams in the group.
Stal Poniatowa unexpectedly lost two points, which on Sunday only drew at home with Górnik Łęczna. Konrad Szmyrgała’s players missed four very good chances in the first half, and at least four more in the second. And the green-and-blacks took the lead shortly after the restart of the game. Stal chased, chased and finally equalized in the 88th minute after Jakub Baran’s goal. However, taking into account that in the previous two matches this year, the newcomer defeated: Huragan 1:0 and Lewart 4:2, this time in Poniatowa they certainly had a lot of hunger.
“It was a game of missed opportunities, we had plenty of chances and the opponent knocked the ball out of an empty net twice. It’s a pity for the lost points, but you have to respect this one, because you managed to save it in the end. It is a pity that nothing came up earlier, because this match should be settled after 45 minutes – explains coach Szmyrgała.
Bug Hanna unexpectedly led in Lublin with Motor II. Mateusz Chwedoruk scored in the 41st minute. The irritated hosts responded with goals from Maciej Baryła and Jakub Szuta before the break. And after switching sides, they added three more goals and eventually won 5:1.
