Orlen was to pay PLN 1.6 billion for oil that never reached it. The company’s management had previously been warned by its internal unit consisting of former or current secret service officers (the Office of Control and Security) against establishing Swiss OTS company – Onet found out. BKiB reported that the company could be used to trade oil from countries subject to an international embargo, such as Iran. Moreover, it was indicated that the president of OTS, Samer A., ​​could be associated with the terrorist organization Hezbollah, financed by Iran. He was also allegedly involved in trading oil from Iran. In addition, Samer A. is suspected of participating in the VAT carousel.

Politicians from the currently ruling coalition began to speak out on the matter and did not hide their outrage at the journalists’ findings. “Orlen, Obajtek, Samer A. from Lebanon, Hezbollah and the disappearing PLN 1.6 billion.
